The seals colonies on the southern island of Amsterdam (Travelog: 12/16)

It is a beautiful revenge of mother nature, knowing that there were nothing any more but a few individuals at the end of the last century.<BR> One notes also the presence of their principal predator: the killing whales.<BR> The young males are characterized by their cut like "Tintin ".The sea elephants are also present in Amsterdam: 3 males "rest" on the unloading pontoon of the base.<BR> </BODY>
