Nepal 97 Travelog : Visit of Patan, the third main city of the Kathmandu valley (10/24)

<BODY BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT = "#ABCBBE"> Patan, also called Lalitpur, "the city of beauty," is situated on the southern bank of the river Bagmati, five kms southeast of Kathmandu.<BR> Patan Durbar Square is full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples with fine bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings.<P> But we didn't spent enough time there to fully appreciate them.<BR> It seems that some area were somewhat with less traffic than in Kathmandu : it will be for another visit. <BR> </BODY>
