After one night on "Pointe morne", we set out again, fully fit, the sun having made its appearance. We will walk along large colonies of sea elephants..
We cross the most impreessive inhabitant of the bay : appreciate the size of the animal (4 to 5 meters) and its mass (between 2 and 3 tons !)The females are of much smaller sizes and gather in small groups of 5 to 10 individuals.
Two young males clash in a friendly way ! In a few years, the meeting will be more " bleeding ", when they become dominant males defending their harem (of about fifty females).
